What is it and why is it important to you?

  • What people say about you when you aren't in the room.

  • What prospects think of when he or she hears your brand name.

  • Your brand is what exists in someone's mind.

  • It is the look and feel of your business. This includes your logo, website, tagline, business color scheme and so much more. 

Why is having a brand important?

  • It is how you communicate who you are.  Example: what is your relevancy, appeal,credibility.

  • It is what your company stands for. What are your core values and your major characteristics?   

  • Helps establish a connection and build trust.

  • Remember the saying a picture is worth a thousand words? This saying couldn't be more true today. If someone is scrolling through your social media, website or even a professional association your image will either connect with them or turn them off. 

  • With social media becoming so prominent in our every day lives imagery that tells a story is greatly needed. People want to feel connected to the person they are going to work with and if you have a bad photo or even one that is several years old that just isn't going to happen. 

  • Photography will help show potential clients what you do and what it is like to work with you.  The images allow you to show the connections you have with your clients which makes you relateable and trust worthy.

  • Stories are a means to convey who you are and what you do.

  • A story not only tells who you are, but it makes you relateable and easier to trust. 

  • The amount of information you share with the public is completely up to you. It is also about how you want to represent your brand. 

  • The stories you share should connect with your brand and how you want the public, namely potential clients, to see you.

  • Are wondering if you should share about your family? The answer is maybe. If your family is a big part of your brand then yes, but if it isn't part of you brand it wouldn't make sense to share.

  • So what type of stories are there? The type of stories are limitless.
